Beauty is my City...

It's Friday!! And the first official day of Autumn, at least according to my day planner. Although, as Seattle usually does, has surprised us yet again with the weather. It is currently 77 degrees out, sunny and gorgeous! I suppose I shouldn't be complaining...I did however have a salute to Autumn post prepared but now it simply doesn't seem appropriate.

Instead I am going to leave you with this breathtaking photo of my Seattle...

It was snapped from a plane on approach to Sea-Tac Airport.

Something from the photographer, Thatcher Kelley..."I popped up my camera with a 70mm lens attached, waited for the wing and blurry jet exhaust to clear the view. I quickly focused, jammed my face against the seat in front of me to get the best angle, and snapped the shot just before Rainer disappeared from view."

Enjoy.

Red, Red, Red

Red pants, Red dresses, Red shoes, Red coats, Red accessories, Red lipstick, Red, Red, Red. As a huge fan of adding that pop of color to any look I am excited to confirm that RED is coming back this fall. And not just as an accent color but a statement!

The color Red has been attached to many meanings and symbols such as anger, passion, love, fire, and for being sexy. It's bold...but maybe it's time to put yourself out there...I dare you.

Perhaps in this Mod Retro/ Vintage inspired 'City Sizzle Dress' from ModCloth...

Or if your not a dress girl...try out these 'BDG Cigarette High-Rise Corduroy' Pants from UrbanOutfitters...

Or maybe your more like me and would like to be warm and cozy in this 'Easy Days' off the shoulder sweater from Free People.

Whatever your style, Red will be sure to fit in somewhere this fall!

Here we go...

I am going to be honest from the start...this is not my first attempt at starting a blog. I have on many other occasions became inspired to start a blog but never could get myself to keep it up! But I have made a promise to myself that this time would be different!
As a semi recent college graduate, well as of last March I have seemed to keep myself busy: traveling over seas to Eastern Europe on a mission for two months teaching English and building relationships with college students; catching up on projects that school interfered with; nannying & waiting tables to make money; being able to spend time with friends and family; and job searching!! Which has been as you can imagine quit the quest. I refuse to allow myself to fall into a rut and am acting on a lesson that I learned this summer while in Serbia; be intentional! With whatever or whomever it may be...act on purpose and waiting or procrastinating (as I am known for) is out of the question! So here I am, going for it!
Within these pages I hope to delight you with what inspires me, my work, my obsessions, how-to's, simple pleasures, fashion, entertaining ideas, oh who knows what could show up here. Please follow my efforts and enjoy...
